TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Membership

  • Souled Out asks that you commit to the term of singing workshops AND THE CONCERT. It is important that everyone who joins the choir for the term performs in the concert.
  • We ask that you bring a voice recorder or dictaphone to every session to record each week of rehearsals. This is vital for you to learn your parts and if we are to put on the best performance.

  • Payment is by cash, cheque or online via our website.
  • REFUNDS ARE NOT POSSIBLE
  • Regrettably we no longer accept payment by instalments or concessions.
  • Open to over 18s only, no experience necessary

  • Rehearsals run in term time only for 8 weeks over 2 academic terms a year. Souled Out reserves the right to alter the schedule of rehearsals to fit in with performances and other events that may be taking place. No refunds will be given in these circumstances.

  • If rehearsals are cancelled due to acts of God (weather etc) then we will make best endeavours to provide alternative rehearsal time over the next two terms. No refunds will be given in these circumstances.
  • Membership costs may vary each academic year and members will be notified of any change beforehand.

  • In making an application, members are assumed to be medically fit to undertake the vocal and physical demands of the choir. If an individual has any doubts, these should be indicated to Souled Out prior to their application.
  •  
  • The Souled Out management team reserve the right to stop admission of any member who does not fulfil the requirements.
  •  
  • By joining, it is agreed that photographs and film footage may be taken of all the members and used for advertising and marketing purposes in relation to Souled Out 
Health and Safety
  • Souled Out is not responsible for damage to person or personal belongings whilst attending rehearsals and performances or before and after rehearsals and performances.
  • Souled Out members are responsible for their own property and well-being whilst attending all rehearsals and performances.
  • Travel arrangements are to be made by each member to rehearsals and performances unless it is agreed otherwise.


Code of Conduct
  • Souled Out aims to create a safe and positive environment for all its members. In order to do this, we must ensure acceptable standards of behaviour from our members.
  • All members should be punctual to rehearsals and adhere to times and guidelines set by Souled Out
  • All members should respond to the leadership of the director and official staff members.
  • Members should be co-operative with the choir administrators and fellow members, and uphold an equal-opportunity environment. Any negative behaviour towards others, the director or to the rehearsal and performance environment will lead to cancellation of membership. In this case, membership payment will not be refunded.
  • Members should understand that Souled Out cannot be held financially responsible for damage caused by misconduct.

What to Expect
  • Non-auditon soul choir workshops and performance, led by soloists and including a full band at the concert
  • Tutoring from choir tutor and keyboardist
  • Study materials/aids may be provided
  • 8 weekly workshops at approximately 90 minutes per session

Other Important Information

  • Some rehearsals may require you to attend for longer periods
  • We may drop songs and/or introduce new songs depending on how we progress during term. Please be flexible in your approach to this.
  • On the concert day you may be required to be at the performance venue a few hours before curtain up for staging and band rehearsals
  • The band is always LOUD. The lights are always BRIGHT (it's a concert!)
  • Dates and timings are subject to change sometimes at short notice
  • Once you have paid online you'll receive confirmation of your place in the choir.
  • The 'shipping charge' levied is to cover HALF the Paypal fees associated with your payment.
  • Sorry, but refunds are not possible.
